Egg Shades in Stripes
This towel is from the egg shades series, inspired by the eggs laid by my flock of backyard chickens. They produce a lovely array of eggshell shades, from tawny to pinkish brown, plus green and blues. The weave features a dense twill that switches diagonal direction with each stripe, a nod to the structure of feathers.
The body of this towel is woven in cream cotton, with stripes at one end echoing the warp pattern. The handwoven hangtab at one end is designed to match.
Coordinates nicely with any of the towels in the Egg Shades series.
Sturdy enough for daily use in the kitchen or bathroom.
