Indigo Series Pillows
I call this set of pillows the Indigo Series because indigo blues are a recurring color in both the warp and weft. I designed the warp with large colorblock sections of navy, wine, indigo and white.
Woven improv style, I used different colors, techniques and stripe sequences, taking care to ensure one design flowed into the next. The colors became more bold as the work progressed.
By the time I cut the cloth off the loom, there was some real magic in there. Chance determined the specific design of each pillow.

Simple Check Towels
Two very simple designs, one windowpane plaid and the other checkered, both woven in a palette of juicy hues.
Made with a cotton and linen blend yarn, especially well-suited for an absorbent and hardy towel.

Cowls
Cowls are slow work. I make them in small batches, choosing wool yarn in harmonious color families. One series used locally-sourced wool, indigo-dyed and full of character. Another batch featured a colorful warp as the backdrop to solid twill explorations. I take care to create wearable, yet novel designs, leaving room for play and experimentation at the loom.

Indigo Ikat Towels
An exploration of an ancient technique. For this series, I wrapped fabric resists around areas of the warp before dyeing it with indigo. Afterwards, these areas show up as white. They have their own unplanned character, revealed as I weave them on the loom.

Handwoven Bags
These are a series of project pouches and notions bags. AlI year, as I wove, I saved interesting lengths of my handwoven fabric, often experiments of color and texture. Then I crafted them into these special bags, lined with linen and complete with pockets.
Sturdy and structured. Excellent as a maker’s project bag, for travel toiletries, and lovely as an evening clutch.
